Cover included within the group insurance scheme is detailed below;
o ‘Family’ Travel
o Group Life
o Critical Illness
o Personal Accident and Sick-Pay
Who is covered?
o Serving members of Surrey Police paying scheme contributions.
o Partners can be included for life benefit.
o Retiring Officers may continue the life benefits into their retirement, up to and including age 69. Travel insurance may also be continued upon retirement.
o Life - advise the Federation office as soon as practicable. Arrangements for payment of the benefit are handled by the scheme trustees.
o Critical Illness - call Forces Financial as soon as possible (and in any case within 90 days) following diagnosis.
o Accident - call Forces Financial within six months of the accident date.
o Sickness Benefit - call Forces Financial within six months of pay being cut.
o Travel - For medical emergencies, contact the assistance company. All other claims - report to Forces Financial on return.
