Every officer below the rank of Superintendent is a member of the Police Federation. Each of the three ranks (Inspecting, Sergeants and Constables) have elected representatives who form seperate rank Boards and together form the Joint Branch Board. From the Joint Branch Board the full time officers of Chairman, Secretary and Principal Officer are elected. Currently in Surrey, we have ten elected officers of each rank, making a Joint Branch Board of thirty members plus three full time elected officers.
If you need advice or support from the Police Federation speak to one of your local representatives. To find out who your local elected Federation representatives are please click the link.
